 -Mr. Mika Odido joins IOC/UNESCO Project office in Oostende - Belgium as from 6th August, 2009

-The Head of the GNODC attented a workshop on Website development in Oostende - Belgium in June. 

-The Algal Bloom situation in the Western Regional  coastal water of  Ghana  is getting out of hand. The international community is being asked to intervene to save the fishermen of their livelihood

 the bloom destroys the fishing gears especially the net and cut off their income.

  - Ghana is expecting to hold a training workshop on Buoy Data programme just before the US Navy ship arrives to undertake research activities in the Western Atlantic Ocean.

  -The IOC Leadership Workshop dabbed, the Accra  Workshop is ongoing. The participants are from the various ministries and is from 1st  - 4th October,2007

  -IOC Team -Building Workshop ends in Accra. The workshop draw participants from the ODINAFRICA collaborators and it was run from 26th - 28th September, 2007

  - Fisheries Survey and Oceanographic work in Ghanaian Marine Environment on board R/V Dr. Fridjot Nansen

Both the Head and the Data Manager of the GODC attended workshop in Oostend – Belgium. Mr. Armah the Regional Coordinator for ODINAFRICA Work package Four (WP4) was the workshop also. Mr. Ababio of Department of Oceanography and Fisheries, University of Ghana was at the workshop also.

      -The Data Manager is again attending an Omap workshop in Oostend-Belgium .   He goes with Mr. Ababio
